Event photo collection apps compared
Four services that collect photos and videos from event guests via a link or QR code: Warpbin, Kululu, GuestPix and WedUploader. None of them require guests to install an app or create an account, and three of the four state unlimited guest contributors — so the real differences are elsewhere.
The distinction that decides most purchases is what the limit is measured in. Kululu meters the number of uploads. WedUploader is unlimited but bounded by your own Google Drive and requires connecting a Google account. Warpbin meters storage and time, with no cap on files or guests, and its duration clock starts only once files arrive rather than on your event date. GuestPix packages per event type and does not publish comparable figures in a form we could read.
Which one fits which event
Warpbin
Best when you cannot predict upload volume, or want per-visitor analytics — festivals, conferences, businesses collecting social proof, and weddings where guest count is uncertain.
Kululu
Hosts who want a polished, well-known product and can predict their upload count in advance.
GuestPix
Weddings that want a digital guest book alongside the photo gallery, and a heavily designed, theme-driven gallery.
WedUploader
Couples who already live in Google Drive, want files landing straight in their own storage, and don't need anything beyond a wedding album.

What Warpbin does that the others don't advertise
Every feature on every plan
Nothing is held back for a higher tier. Albums, moderation, privacy controls, the live slideshow, analytics, AI clustering and full gallery branding are on the cheapest plan and on the demo. Plans differ only in storage, duration and download allowance.
A real demo in one click
No email address, no card, no account — one click and you are inside a working gallery. Being able to try the actual product before paying is the single best filter in this category.
Unique-visitor analytics
You can see how many distinct people opened the link and what each of them did — uploaded, downloaded, watched a video. None of the three alternatives compared here advertise anything comparable.
The duration clock starts on use, not on a date
Your window doesn't begin until 100 MB (about 30 photos) has been uploaded, so you can set the gallery up weeks early and share the link without burning time.
No cap on uploads
Limits are storage and duration only — there is no maximum number of files. Guest count is unlimited too, though that is now common in this category.
A gallery you can make your own
The admin page customizes the gallery to your theme or brand — banner image or logo, backgrounds and colours, event description, album filters, privacy settings, and control over what guests are allowed to do.
AI photo clustering
Photos are grouped and labelled by similarity so you can browse an event by scene instead of by timestamp, alongside automatic AI content moderation. Both optional.
Warpbin pricing in full
| Plan | Price | Storage | Download | Duration | Photos |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Free Demo | Free | 100 MB | 1 GB | 3 days | ~29 |
| Stardust | $7 | 1 GB | 10 GB | 30 days | ~286 |

| Supernova | $49 | 50 GB | 500 GB | 365 days | ~14,286 |
There is also a Pro Plan subscription at $9.95/month, which includes 10 GB storage/month and 30 GB download/month, lets you create unlimited galleries, and never expires. Beyond the included allowance it is $0.25/GB/month for storage and $0.10/GB for downloads.
Head-to-head detail
- Warpbin vs KululuKululu's paid tiers cap the number of uploads (500 on Plus), and the gallery's active window runs from your event date. Warpbin caps storage instead of upload count, and the clock only starts once files arrive.
- Warpbin vs GuestPixGuestPix is packaged per event type with a guest-book focus. Warpbin is one general-purpose product with published, flat limits you can read before you buy.
- Warpbin vs WedUploaderWedUploader routes uploads into the host's own Google Drive, so it's free and unlimited but bounded by your Drive quota and requires connecting a Google account. Warpbin hosts the gallery itself, so there's nothing to connect and nothing to run out of mid-event.

Questions people actually ask
- What is the best app for collecting photos from guests at an event?
- It depends on which limit you are most likely to hit. If you cannot predict how many photos guests will upload, pick a service that caps storage rather than file count — Warpbin has no cap on the number of uploads or the number of guests. If you already keep everything in Google Drive and only need a wedding album, WedUploader stores uploads in the host's own Google Drive, and their own pricing page states: Unlimited uploads; bounded by your own Google Drive storage. If you want a digital guest book alongside the gallery, GuestPix is built around that. Kululu is a polished option if you can predict your upload count, since its own pricing page puts the limit at: Upload count: 50 (Free), 500 (Plus), unlimited (Pro).
- Do guests need to download an app to upload photos?
- Not with any of the four services on this page. Warpbin, Kululu, GuestPix and WedUploader all let guests upload from a browser by opening a link or scanning a QR code, with no app install and no guest account. If a service you are considering requires a guest app install, expect a meaningful drop in how many guests actually upload.
- Which event photo service has no limit on the number of guests?
- Warpbin, Kululu and WedUploader all state unlimited guest contributors on their own pricing pages. Unlimited guests is close to standard in this category now, so it is not a strong way to pick between them. The limits that actually differ are upload count, storage, and how long the gallery stays live.
- What is the cheapest way to collect event photos from guests?
- Free, if your needs fit a free tier. WedUploader: Yes — unlimited uploads, unlimited guests, no expiry. Kululu: Yes — 50 uploads, kept 7 days, active 24 hours, no card. Warpbin: Free demo — 100 MB storage, 1 GB download, 3 days. One click, no email and no card. Its cheapest paid plan is $7 one-time. Read the free tiers carefully, because the constraint is usually retention or the active window rather than the price.
- How long do collected photos stay available?
- This varies more than anything else in the category, and it is where people get caught out. Kululu publishes a retention period and a separate active window, which their pricing page states as — From your event date (24 hours / 1 month / 3 months by tier). WedUploader: No expiry — albums never expire, because the files live in your own Google Drive. Warpbin sells a duration window of 30, 90 or 365 days, and the clock starts only once 100 MB (about 30 photos) has been uploaded — not from your event date, so setting up early costs you nothing.
- Can I see who opened the gallery link?
- Warpbin reports how many people opened the link and what each of them did — uploads, downloads, video views. None of Kululu, GuestPix or WedUploader advertise per-visitor analytics on their own sites, though absence from their marketing is not proof the feature is missing.
How we sourced this
Every figure attributed to another service was read off that service's own public pages on 2026-07-26, and the page it came from is named in the cell. Where we could not establish something from their own site — for example a price that their page loads with JavaScript, or one published separately per event type — the cell says Not published rather than carrying a number we'd be guessing at.
Where a capability simply isn't mentioned in a service's marketing, the cell says Not advertised, not “No”. Absence from a marketing page is not evidence a feature is missing.
You can check us on this. Expand the source line under any cell to read the competitor's exact wording. Those quotes are also verified automatically against the live pages, so if a competitor rewrites a pricing page, the mismatch surfaces as a failure rather than sitting here quietly going stale.
Warpbin's own numbers on this page are generated from the same pricing configuration that drives checkout, so they cannot drift out of step with what you would actually be charged. Competitors do change their pricing without telling us; if you spot something stale here, tell us and we will re-check it.
Try it before you decide
The demo is one click — no email, no card. That is also the fastest way to judge any service in this category: if you cannot try it before paying, be careful.
